Thing-A-Week Jan 7, 2012

So here I am by the fire still listening to Christmas music- go figure. I suggested to Calla that she write a story about a murderer who likes to make lists. She asked me this morning if it was weird that she was up til 2 in the morning last night making lists of girls' names. I couldn't tell her what I really thought so I said oh no that isn't weird at all... Anyway, she started writing this really cool story- I hope she finishes it. I'll be marking I.W.U.'s tomorrow and on Monday and Tuesday I go to the board to work on creating Contemporary Aboriginal Voices English course for grade 11. Working with a nice group . Also looking forward to finishing this semsester and starting some new courses.

On the last day before school started back after Christmas holidays, Calla and I decided to play snow badminton. It was fun but then Calla got sick and coughed a lot and stayed home most of the first week back... What else is new?

Thing-A-Week for 2012 Jan 1

This year Calla and I are going to post one picture per week and post a short journal entry about the pic and how life is so far in this week of 52. At the end we will have 52 pictures and comments about our year 2012- because- well- what else is there to do?

I got in the habit, this Christmas, of taking pictures outside my front door. At first, on Christmas Eve, it was actually a green Christmas and then it snowed and it looked so nice I started taking these pics. I also had a lot of fires in the fireplace and listened to Christmas music. I was very sentimental this Christmas- maybe turning 50 and all...
